Q: What is zero color rolling
A: Alpha family cameras all have zero color rolling image quality comparing to all other makers' DSP video cameras which have very bad color rolling image running under illumination of fluorescent lamp. The image will shift from white color to blue wish, pink wish and back to white and over and over. It is a problem caused by the AC power that is running 0n 50/60 Hz.

More: Unlike incandescent lamps that provide steady light fluid, fluorescent lamp light fluid will fluctuate with cycle of AC power both on intensity and color in a speed of 8.3 ms. Legacy CCD cameras take 100 ~150 ms ( 0.1~0.15 ) to calculate white balance which is slower than 8.5 ms on power fluctuation. Therefore, it can never catch up. The current image will definitely create color rolling by 8-cycle age
Alpha family cameras are equipped with 20 MIP fast DSP which is 200 times faster than traditional DSP so they can calculate white balance in merely 3 ms and absolutely have no color rolling.
