Q: Why Alpha C series camera consume as low as 12V / 65mA?

A:  Alpha family camera is using Mintron proprietary DSP, CDS AGC A/D chip, Vertical driver, and 75-OHM video driver. all these chip were design with low power  0.35 um 3.3V technology , hence 54C0 will consume only 12V / 60~65mA or 700~750mWatt of power , which is 1/4 of other color camera and almost same as CMOS camera. On 2002 Mintron is expecting to  go for 0.18 um process and will further drop to half of power.
