The insurance company hope to have a camera to install in a Taxi or any vehicle so that when there is an events such as traffic accident or rubbery, especially if the driver died and can not defend for himself. Insurance company hope to save big money from waving of paying big insurance money by providing good evidence. Investigator will be able to tell if the driver is driving under influence of alcohol or not. The camera will record 4 minutes of motion picture in Motion JPEG format in a 256Mb DRAM. User can choose VGA OR QVGA resolution and change frame rate from to 1 3 7 5 7.5 15 frame/sec. or 30sec a frame to maximize the recording time. A total of 3840 frame of high compression QVGA picture or 480 frame of low compression high quality VGA image can be recorded. The camera will last for 32 hours If running under slowest mode (1 frame/30sec.) in QVGA format. ¡@ A local control box can be hook up to the
camera for review or retrieving of the image stored inside
the memory, and modify the setting condition of the unit, such as day time,
frame rate compression rate, ..... through
I-OSD ( interactive on screen display control panel ) Another
typical application can be done by programming the camera to record shorter time such as
4
sec. in a session, and trigger by a motion detector (such as a PIR or reed relay).
Image 2 sec. before and 2 sec. after trigger can them be recorded and
them ready and wait for next
trigger. These picture were them be accumulated till all 4 minutes of memory
used up. The recording time for
each trigger can
be programmed to any length from
fraction of 1/2 1/4 1/8 1/16 .... to 1/96 of the total memory. user can
later retrieve the condensed picture that is full of information instead of dull picture that is
recorded by a legacy VCR. ¡@ |
